SIGC is a summer camp that first started in 1982. Though it has moved around and changed its name officially to Appalachian Institute for Creative Learning (AICL), it will still be SIGC to me.
It usually runs in mid-July and is located on the campus of Emory and Henry College. The program creates a great atmosphere where creativity, individuality, and friendship thrive. As of this year, I have attended for a total of three summers and have loved every bit of it. Though you do take classes, they are all fun and you wish you could take them all year. The staff here are also wonderful, and the world would be a better place if there were more people like them. I would recommend this to anyone of almost any age, though can't be older than a rising senior.
